What instruments are included in our collection?
Whilst our collection already contains a wide range of instruments, we are continually expanding it. Some of our instruments have been bought, others have been donated to us. The huge variety of instruments on offer enables you to choose the most appropriate instrument for you and results in a perfect match for you!
How do we know that an instrument is right for you?
A commission of experts examines your application. Based on its content, a profile of your current abilities & skills set is compiled. The decision to approve your application and to determine what instrument might be most suitable for you is taken in communion.
The commission preserves the right to contact you, your music school, your teacher or principal for additional information where needed.

How do we build our collection?
We build our collection in different ways.
Thanks to our sponsors and donors, we can acquire instruments. Sometimes musicians or collectors lend us their instruments with a request to pass them on to young musicians. Other people donate instruments they played in the past but no longer use at present.
Without all of these people, the realisation of BCI would have remained a distant dream. We are hugely indebted to them.
However, you are our first priority and the most important person in the application process.
When your application receives our approval and you start using an instrument from BCI, we ask you to become OUR ambassador!
You will be a BCI ambassador when you play at our concerts where your presence really matters. Please tell the world about BCI and what we do.
Remember to include your own ideas on BCI ambassadorship in the application, prior to submission!
So if you are ready, let’s go for it…
